 Subspace Static - Star Date 214.06.5 ***** Inter Galactic News ***** *** Brotherhood Caught Using Slaves *** The religious arm of the inferior earth-thing Empire known as the ‘Brotherhood’ have revealed themselves to have some semblence of superior thinking this week, as the Falconians have discovered the use of 240 slaves at a Brotherhood mining facility. Kang understands the slaves were being kept in cramped and filthy conditions on a miserable hellhole world. Also that they were human slaves, revealing that the Brotherhood also share the superior Flagritz races belief that this is all the puny humans are good for. This is a good news story, and Kang is happy. Though the Falconians are not, having shifted their stance towards the BHD to ‘antagonistic’. The BHD for their part have responded tersely to the FCN going public with this news. *** Persian Slugmatch Continues *** Cheerfully brutal alien dictators the Ulians have continued their series of conflicts with the other cheerfully brutal alien dictators of the Flagritz this week, whilst the third group of cheerfully brutal alien dictators, the HBO, have watched on to make sure nobody violates the spirit of their 20-ships-a-team rule. The Ulian’s have released the following information: Two Ulian 'Ulian defence' class vessels were destroyed for no loss while transiting quadrant beta-10, after after encountering a Flagritz force of some 16 Flagritz heavy cruisers, comprising 15 Broadsword-class and 1 Raptor-Class vessels. At the same time, in sector Beta-2, a force of some (definitely only) 20 Ulian vessels, a mixture of 'Solo', 'Broadsword' and 'Ulian Defence' -class vessels, were engaged by the Flagritz resident flotilla of some (coincidentally) 20 vessels, while attempting to establish a blockade of the planet Ahura Mazda, resulting in the loss of one Ulian 'Solo'-class vessel, and two Flagritz vessels , of 'Broadsword' class and 'Raptor' classes. An Ulian spokesbeing stated "We can confirm the losses of the vessels and 'Guyarat', 'Melchiresa' and 'Pariah 2'. We are particularly upset about the Pariah-2, since it was a brand spanking new replacement for the Pariah-1, lost only a matter of days ago. We are looking into retiring the name... maybe third time lucky? The 'Melchiresa' was also a newly-constructed ship... we are still trying to ascertain whether the ship lasted long enough for it's captain to actually process his naval commission, awarded today". There are reportedly several more Flagritz strike-fleets moving into position, but separate positions, not at all more than 20 ships in one location type positions – a technicality the HBO may or may not respect. Whilst the Ulians appear to be running out of ships, as both sides accuse each other of illegal blockades. *** TCA Incursion Destroyed *** As reported last week, the TCA vessels that had intruded into the Inner Empire have indeed been destroyed. Although the vessel believed to be carrying the Meklan Baron LiQuan is also reported to have been completely destroyed. *** Dewiek Complete MOH Pacification *** Febrile furry meatsacks the DEN have issued the following statement confirming Kang’s suspicions about what would happen to the foolish Mohache: The Nation can now confirm that the MOH uprising as been put down with all Mohache terrorists dead or eaten. There so called strike forces have been destroyed totally. The Nations forces have spent the last week or so conducting mopping up operations in the surrounding sectors. Probably to the surprise of around 20 docked AFT ships and the same number of AFT debris fields in the base. Another AFT debris field was recovered in Falconia orbit this week. Transpiral News Falconian Consul Armand has gifted a rare ore mine in the Wimbledon system to the new Wimble grandfather Treebore. This may be the only rare ore source in the system. Preliminary discussions have taken place between the leaders on the exploitation of the sysatem. A falconian freighter has rescued crew and contents of a second WMB ship debris field in the system and returned them to the Wimble starbase. Cluster News The Falconians have acquired several ex-BHD outposts in the Rock system. They were shocked to find 240 human slaves in one of these mining outposts. They will, of course, be freed. Inner Empire News Falconian crews in ships destroyed by the TCA have been rescued by the GTT. The other vessels of our victorious warflocks are heading back towards Caribbean. *** Freighter Destroyed *** Careless DTR commanders have lost another freighter this week, this time to the GTT, as they intercepted and destroyed a lone vessel in the Kasmer system. |
