Welcome to another edition of news and views from the CSNN's favourite reporter and news anchor, Ainsley Moore, the peripheries' most favourite unbiased publication in the known universe,

And so with the news,

Corewards Conflict – Galleon system

The Deweik Nation (DEN) have declared all Caliphate (CAL) claimed systems are now targets for the DEN, following a successful CAL system claim for the Galleon system.

The DEN allege the CAL have “claim jumped” the Galleon system claim and spreading the current conflict, something the CAL says it has not.

Sources within the CAL military have told CSNN that high level talks are being conducted and are hopefully these talks will end the conflict.

Corewards Conflict – FLZ Asks For Reparations

Following the recent hostilities, which saw Empire forces score a decisive defeat over Alien Alliance (AA) forces, The Flagritz (FLZ) are demanding reparations in the form of ship hulls and armour plates.

Following what the FLZ calls an “unprovoked attack”, they are demanding mk2 and mk3 ship hulls & plates.

The CSNN has been told by government sources that these demands are not being considered.

Corewards Conflict – Zewt System

The CAL has claimed the Zewt System with an extensive claim, overriding the local civilian claim.

Governmental sources tell the CSNN that this has been done to bring peace to the system in order to safeguard Caliphate interests in the region.

Other News – Demon System

Demon Lord Wylde of the Dominion (DOM) has accepted the post as head of the new Demon system government, which bestowed the title of “Demon Lord” upon him.

The Demon system will now be subject to what is called “Wylde’s Law” which consists of a single law. This law simply states “Don’t make me want to kill you”.

Editors at CSNN HQ suggest traders or visitors follow “Wylde’s law” even if some have tried to make light of the curtness of the law.

Other News – FLZ Declare Intent To Stop Trading With Empire

Yes, well something of an anti-climax, the FLZ has declared that they have no interest in trading with any Empire affiliations, presumably after having their rear hull sections handed to them in the Zewt system.

This has prompted Empire power blocs to ban all FLZ shipping from empire space. Even though this has happened the FLZ continue to send ships into Empire space which are now treated as spies.

Code:

Eyeball Class Explorer {No Armour}
Hull Damage: 100.0%

Other News – DOM Declare Trade Veto

Citing that the security of the DOM and its allies is more important than trade, the DOM have declared their intent to accept trade veto requests from its allies and publish such vetoes publicly.

This brought some criticism from CAL Vizier Darius Shirazi to which Githyanki of the DOM stated “the DEN asked us to cease trade to the CAL under threat of hostility”.

Editors at CSNN HQ can only speculate that relations between allies of the DEN may be more press-ganged than previously thought.

Corewards Conflict Update - HEX turn FRE

In a somewhat unexpected move, the Hexamon (HEX) have changed some of their freighters in the region to the "Free Trader" tag in a bid to avoid combat.

Whether this tactic will work or not remains to be seen.

Painting the hull may not work either!

Corewards Conflict Update - IMP/CAL target FRE

In somewhat of an expected move, the Imperial (IMP) and CAL blocs are now targeting FRE throughout their systems, as a counter move to the HEX altering their freighter tags to FRE.

Actual FRE traders around the peripheries have contacted CSNN HQ to voice their concerns over this issue.

Other News - FLZ scout Destroyed in Teutonic

Following the IMP/CAL ban of all FLZ shipping in their respective spheres of influence yet another FLZ has been destroyed, this time in the Teutonic System:

Code:
 ---------------------------------Battle Summary---------------------------------

FLZ SE-EB Eyeball 05 (27770) - Ship
Eyeball Class Explorer {No Armour}
Hull Damage: 100.0%
BLOWN UP!

It was reported that a odd smell of peanut butter and chocolate was present in the control room of the local platform but further investigations failed to determine the source, which quickly dissipated.

Other News - Stock Markets React To Targeting Of Free Traders

The Yank System Industrial Average (YSIA) has risen 300 points on the week as reports of Free Trader being targeted by IMP/CAL blocs. Counter to expert commentators predictions, the value of rare ores have risen slightly and the production of cargo ship hulls have been reduced.

This lead to a rise in overall values and a rise in the futures market which bolstered the market, including the Sol Commodities and Shares Exchange (SCSE)and Darkfold Resource Exchange Bazaar (DREB ).

*** Stop Press - Alien Alliance Strike Targets Within Darkfold Region ***

CCSN HQ has started to receive reports of hostile actions by the Alien Alliance against civilian targets across the Darkfold region.

Initial reports show Alien Alliance warships have struck against BHD/ CIA starbases and outposts within the Beach and Ridley systems.

Damage reports are scarce but hopefully they will be light.
