As reported last edition, Kang can now confirm that DEN Manticore has fallen to the dreaded Uber-GP of the Empire after hard fighting and much bloodshed on all sides.

Though obviously one side was fielding what Kang can best describe as ‘Naplian cannon fodder’, so they probably care somewhat less than the Dewiek do about their casualties, which include at least two senior political figures, along with many tens of thousands of Dewiek warriors and civilians.

The story is not yet done however, as fierce brutal conflict has continued to spread across the previously peaceful system of Solo…


*** Solo – Day 10 ***

The fierce ground battles on day 10 saw the Dewiek facility of Exodus throwing back the EMP attackers, albeit possibly only temporarily:

*** The Brave Charge Of The Ulian Heavy Brigade ***

It was at this point in the ongoing narrative of the Solo saga that an unexpected diversion appeared, as over the horizon came charging what was possibly the entire Ulian battle fleet of Eviscerator and Ulian class capitol ships, along with a large compliment of Vindicator heavy cruisers.

Unfortunately for the Ulians, who were presumably rushing to the aid of the rest of the embattled alien alliance, their fleet of around 90 warships ran slap-bang into the entire EMP battlefleet, and a fierce and bloodily one-sided battle erupted, in which every single Ulian ship, along with a single Flagritz cruiser and a lone Dewiek freighter, were destroyed by the massed fire of the human navies.

Casualties amongst the EMP fleet were understood to be negligible. Which is a polite way of Kang saying the Ulian’s failed to destroy a single enemy ship. Although the EMP did fire a large amount of ordnance, a matter that might prove to be important at a later date in our narrative…

But the platforms offensive capability appeared to be heavily degraded by the previous day of fighting off boarders.


*** Solo – Day 12 – Space Battle ***

The big news from Solo this week concerns the deployment of heavy elements of the Dewiek primary battle fleet, which appears to have been moving to Tyburn in an attempt to catch the EMP Cruiser fleet that had split off from the main EMP fleet.

Unfortunately for the DEN, the EMP fleet had the same idea, or possibly they lured the DEN into a trap. As just under 100 DEN warships and 12 FLZ warships suddenly found themselves engaged with something in the region of 800 of the EMP’s heaviest capitol ships.

Massed broadsides were exchanged, as the fleets tangled, and the DEN can probably consider themselves fortunate that the EMP fleet had emptied most of their AM torpedoes against the Ulians yesterday. However, the DEN still suffered a heavy defeat, with the FLZ losing most of their ships, while the DEN lost 22.

Meanwhile, the platform was destroyed in the fighting. And the remaining Dewiek vessels are understood to be heavily damaged, and potentially on the verge of complete annihilation by a massively superior force…


*** Rare Bad News ***

Admiral Meatbridge of the puny DTR has made some fuss this week over his proud ‘rescue’ of 125 slaves from the Solo system.

Kang awards you a slow handclap oh most febrile Admiral Meatbridge. Kang hopes you asked those ‘slaves’ if they wanted to be rescued before your brutal DTR shocktroopers of peace and love and understanding bundled them into your cuddle shuttles and shipped them away to who knows what terrible fate!

Biscuits, is it? The Peripheries are burning, and the DTR are giving hobnobs to worthless slaves?

Kang expects they are chocolate hobnobs too.

Bah. What a waste.


*** Solo – Day 13 – Space Battle ***

Unexpectedly the Dewiek decided to stay and fight today. Turning the broken and battered prows of their heavily outnumbered flotilla directly towards the massively superior EMP fleet, igniting their ISR engines, and charging into the oncoming storm of heavy battery fire.

Quite unexpectedly, a large number of ESP reinforcements arrived on the scene, and while the EMP battered the remnants of the DEN, the remaining ESP vessels that were rushing into the quadrant from all directions were able to inflict losses upon the human fleet.

*** RIP Strike ***

A lone Krell freighter has been destroyed by the RIP in the inner reaches of the Solo system, prompting the Krell to demand reparations from the RIP.

The RIP have thus far refused to respond to the demand, and are probably too bush chuckling over their steepled fingers to care.

Meanwhile the DEN have launched a rescue mission for the survivors of the freighter.

Though how safe the survivors might be, being rescued into a Dewiek position, remains to be seen…
