*** Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door ***

The stargates are closed! Reports from multiple sources indicate at least three of the stargates, all within Dewiek controlled systems, have been closed.

Two different sources have indicated that the TCA have been spotted recently in a number of systems and may be behind this turn of events. A scan sent to the SSS indicated eight TCA ships were recently spotted first in the Faery system and later near the Kasmer stargate.

Another source, suspiciously put the blame on the ARC, suggesting the ARC and DEN were working together because they “need to trap [the TCA] and try and finish them off after the DEN bodged their operation to protect the ARC while they incinerated the MEK homeworld, which ended up with several ARC ships being destroyed and the job only being half done."

However, with no public statement from the Dewiek themselves, its hard to know whether these rumours are reliable.

Lord Igor of the Dominion and Erasmus Andersen of the Garcia Family both offered public apologies at the delay in meeting their trade commitments because of the recent closures. The not-so-subtle subtext being that someone will pay with blood for this interference in their business. Or at least with a stealthy price rise.

*** Wimble Civil Strife ***

Trouble is brewing amongst disaffected Wimbles recently under the heavy-oratory of self-proclaimed Baron Womble aka Yahn the Messiah aka Yahn of the Free Detinus Republic aka Just Another Puppet of Lady Sylvansight.

In a move that is reminiscent of DTR regime change efforts in Falconia and Darkfold, a former Senator has taken over the independent government of another nation.

This time the locals appear to be resisting. In a statement to the press, one Wimble resistance fighter stated: "The Alien of ZZ has allowed the Home system of the Wimble Nation to be infested by scum that should be removed. Then the DTR saw its chance to take over another Transpiral system and took it. They seem to think that they who have invaded this area of space can tell those that live here what we can do and where we are allowed to go.

"The Wimble Nation seeks to take control of its own future, throw off the aliens and be allowed to travel freely in our own peripheries. Lets see if it is too much to ask. The Transpiral systems are not the personal Empire of the DTR, they are our home.”

It appears with an actual Wimble Grandfather, called Paden, rising to local power, the newly minted Baron may have to do more than stirring oratory to secure his name as another human dictator of alien populations.

It also remains to be seen if anyone will help the Wimbles gain their independence from the Detinus Republic and its lackey.

*** Who Sniffs the Sniffers? ***

The Dewiek progrock group known as the Brenna Pack have warned, presumably human, butt-sniffers that they’ve got this covered thankyouverymuch and require no assistance.

A rising number of bases around Brenna Pack territories, which were not specified but are presumed to include the Solo system, have recently been infested with unregulated butt-sniffers.

It is not known whether Brenna Pack’s objection are centred on the lack of reciprocity, with humans steadfastly keeping on their pants. Not to mention their quite uninteresting diets. You don’t get to smell the wonderful stories of what Togolf the Dewiek ate yesterday without sharing your own tail, folks!

*** Largin’ It ***

Another crewman onboard Large’s ships claimed braggin’ rights for the capture of a Wimble, Dewiek and a human Frontier ship. All three ships were taken in the region now being dubbed the “Pirates' Gauntlet”, from the Solo system to the Orion Spur.

The crewman quipped that with a hundred-and-fifty sensors installed, the Wimble ship should really have seen them coming! At which point, we heard a blood curdling cry as another shipmate eviscerated him with his cutlass.

Meanwhile, rumours persist that Large himself is nowhere to be seen, with no time to make his usual off-colour boasts because of “other commitments."

*** Free Termister ***

Not only do Dewiek not like their butts being sniffed if you’re not willing to have your butt sniffed, they don’t like you hanging around their new colonies in unmarked vehicles looking all shifty.

That was the message from youngest Dewiek Lord called Greyfang who outed himself as the seed spreader in the Temister system. Letting it be known that “public facilities” were not available, he asked the FRE captain of the ship Grazer to turn off his headlights, stop peeping at the Dewiek in the dark and just go home already.

*** HarCorp in Coptuv ***

The Great Lord of Coptuv and secretly the entire Coreward Arm has warned travellers that HarCorp raiders are loitering in the system. The Wylde man will deal with the pirate threat for only a modest charge of half your soul and 10% of your potential earnings over three lifetimes.
