Description TCA ships are very, very old. Their technology is undoubtably that of the Architects, but their purpose is shrouded in mystery. Many theories exist, describing them as shephards or annihilators. Even the code TCA is in itself enigmatic (being dubbed Terran Colony Annihlators after their first encounter with humanity led to the loss of an FET base). Possibly this is just a translation error. It is likely that it will never be known.
As they cannot land on worlds, it is assumed that they must be self maintaining. In the case of those allied to the Hexamon it is believed that the original living essence is no longer active but the long period of time spent with them has allowed them certain capabilities such as that of navigation.
