This is the most basic form of survey equipment. It is used to determine if a mining deposit can be deep core mined. A low level survey of the deposit can be done via the prospect order (does not exhaust the rig).
A full survey of a deposit to determine the full extent of any deep core material is done via the 'Deep Core Survey' order and exhausts the survey rig.
Better quality survey rigs produce better results.
